PARENT INFORMATION REGARDING MAP TESTING
02-17-2012
NWEA has identified an issue that impacts MAP for Primary Grades (MPG)
tests taken this fall. A technical issue in packaging the latest MPG Survey
with Goals tests has caused scoring discrepancies which may impact your
students' overall RIT scores and the precision of the related goal strand
scores. From NWEA:
"We have released a new version of the test packages that corrects
this issue. We are re-scoring the affected tests to correct for the discrepancies,
and we will provide you with updated scores for your tests in the next
several weeks. Please note, however, that while the overall RIT scores
from the corrected tests will be useable, the net result may be reduced
precision in the goal strand scores for tests you administered in Fall
2011. We deeply regret that this issue has occurred. We are working diligently
to correct the impacted scores and provide you with the most reliable
data possible."

AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT
02-17-2012
Please remember that students staying for ASE are required to bring their
signed permission/pick up note every day they will be attending the program.
Without a note, they will have to follow their normal dismissal routine.
Faxes, emails, and phone calls will not be accepted. If you or your child
forgets a note, you may bring it in to the office and we will be glad
to see that it is given to your child. Thank you for your cooperation.
**When school is closed or dismissed early because of inclement weather,
all after school activities are cancelled.
GENTLE REMINDER

Students are not to bring toys, handheld games, trading cards, iPods,
cell phones, etc. to school. If children bring these items to school,
we cannot be responsible for loss or damage, and if they are taken from
them by a teacher/staff member it will be the parent’s responsibility
to come to school and pick the items up. The school provides games, playground

BUS PASSES
9-23-2011
We have received word from our Transportation Department that starting
September 26, we may issue bus passes. However the list of flagged buses
is extensive, due to being at maximum capacity. The flagged buses are:
9, 10, 11,16,17,21,27,35,47,50,52,54,64,76,80,88,89. For remaining buses,
we may only issue 5 bus passes per building (PLE/AGIS). Thank you for
your patience, understanding and cooperation.
When writing a note for a bus pass, please remember that we work notes
on a daily basis. The request must come in on the day it is needed, not
in advance. It is important that the other student must also bring in
a written note from their parent or guardian. Faxes, emails , and phone
requests are not accepted (page 5—student handbook). This is for
the safety of the students.
